Hi, I'm Matteo. I'm currently in my final year of Mathematics and Computer Science at Queen's University Belfast. My studies have deepened my interest in Artificial Intelligence, Financial Mathematics and Abstract Algebra - particularly it's applications in Cryptography. You can find some of my academic work here.
I previously worked as a Software Engineer at Visa, focusing on backend development for their Merchant Checkout Solutions and Payment Processing Gateways for large institutions.
Currently, I like to stay active through the gym and running. I'm also enjoying my studies in finance and keeping up with AI Security research. In the past, football was my main thing growing up, but I also enjoyed chess and keeping up with the cryptocurrency space, alongside other stuff.
I enjoy working on side projects when inspiration strikes. I recently built an FX-rates arbitrage detection algorithm that uses the Bellman-Ford algorithm to find negative cycles in live currency exchange rates, indicating arbitrage opportunities. Feel free to explore more of my projects on my GitHub.
